The Scholarship
1. Up to RM3,000/RM4,000/RM7,000 per academic year for Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree programmes respectively
2. Open to financially needy and academically deserving students to pursue courses at local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics
3. Successful Scholars, upon completion of their respective courses and graduation from local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics shall be required to serve as an employee of PPB or any of its subsidiaries for a minimum of 2 years (subject to vacancy)

Yayasan KLK Shcolarship Awards 2007
KLK has established a foundation, (Yayasan KLK), which offers scholarships to deserving undergraduates from the lower income group pursuing a diploma or degree course at any local government universities. Upon graduation, candidates may be offered positions suitable to their course of study within the KLK Group of Companies.
Advertisements for the scholarships are placed out every year. The applicants based on our criteria are then screened and short-listed for an interview. Successful applicants are provided with annual grant over the minimum duration of their courses as follows:
Degree - RM 7,000 per academic year
Diploma - RM 5,000 per academic year
While undergoing tertiary education, the scholar's academic performances are monitored and they are provided field training when necessary. Such monitoring is necessary as it ensures only good talents are subsequently recruited to continue the Group's tradition of leadership excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Open to all qualified Malaysian citizens who have gained admission to recognised local government universities/institutions of higher learning including employee's children of the KLK Group of Companies.
2. Free from any bond and not holding scholarship or receiving any financial assistance from other organizations.

The MARA Loan programme applies to students who plan to join any private institution for '3+0' programmes. Students must apply to the respective institution before applying for the loan.
Eligibility criteria
The loan only applies to Malay and Bumiputra students who are financially needy and who are not more than 40 years old. In addition, students must maintain a CGPA of 2.5 and above to be eligible to apply for the loan.

The STAR Education Fund
The STAR Education Fund acts as an umbrella body for individuals, corporations and educational institutions interested in contributing towards the education of exceptional and needy students. Invitation for applications for the scholarships are advertised in The Star newspaper between February to April.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be below 25 years of age, possess good academic results, be active in co-curricular activities, and be financially needy, and must not be in receipt of any other financial aid.

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) Japan would like to inform all interested students that the application for the Joint Japan / World Bank Graduate Scholarship program is available.
In 1987, the World Bank, with funding from the Government of Japan, established the World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program, now known as the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP), for graduate studies in subjects related to development.
The Program’s objective is to help create an international community of highly trained professionals working in the field of economic and social development. Students interested in applying for one of the four concentrations in APU’s International Cooperation Policy Major (please see an outline below) may be eligible for this scholarship.

Buying a car on the dealer's finance is not always a bad idea. They
work in flat rates and not APRs, which may initially seem confusing. It's
really not, in fact it's easier to understand than APR.
For example, if I suggested you borrow £5000 over five years at 8% APR,
how much interest would you pay? Like me, you probably have no idea.
With a flat rate it's easy: £5000 over five years at 4% flat means you
pay £40 interest per £1000 borrowed per year.
The rates that the banks advertise are usually very low but they have
strict criteria attached. The best advice is to get your dealer to do
the best rate he can and then match it against your bank.
Shop around
One thing you must do when shopping for a car is to do just that. Shop
around for the best quotes.
With a new car you can make yourself aware of the deals on at various
outlets. With second-hand cars you can get a good target price in mind
and let you avoid overpriced dealers. At askaprice.com you can get up to

Do some research before you visit. The interweb is a great resource to

if it is only a couple of hundred quid's difference it's probably worth
it!

Encourage your salesperson. Let them know that you are there to buy a

Don't be afraid to walk away
Don't be afraid to leave the dealership. Once you have left, the dealer

chance to get some more money off. If a dealer thinks they have lost a
deal and has a chance to revive it, they will!

The final thing to remember is to never agree a deal with the sales
